We are proud to announce some changes to our 10K course for the 41st edition of the TD Bank Reedy River Run. In keeping with the original intent of showcasing the Reedy River, Cleveland Park and Downtown Greenville, our 2018 course meets those expectations. The new route will still start in historic Court Square on S. Main Street and finish on the S. Main St. bridge crossing the Reedy. The major change from previous years is that coming out of Cleveland Park, the route will cross the newly completed Cancer Survivors' Bridge and climb the hill on Furman College Way in Falls Park on the Reedy. Instead of the climb up E. Broad St before the finish, runners will finish downhill on S. Main while coming north from Augusta St. The post-race festival will be conducted at the TD Stage at at the Peace Center this year.
There are two methods to register for the TD Bank Reedy River Run.
The traditional method: www.tdbankreedyriverrun.com
A new value-packed method: www.GreenvilleDowntownDouble.com
The later method allows the participant to enter both the very popular Greenville News Run Downtown 5K AND either the TD Bank Reedy River Run 10K or 5K for a combined price and excellent value.
Two of the top features of Greenville are Main Street and the Reedy River. The 1oK will start on S. Main just south of the TD Bank Building in Court Square. The starting line is near the Joel Poinsett Statue in historic Court Square next to the Westin-Poinsette Hotel. The 10K course will run north before turning on left on College and and then left on to Richardson/River Streets which take runners south to run up S. Main St. You will pass now famous Fluor Field before turning left on Markley St. and then turning left onto Field St. Runners then turn left off Field St. onto Augusta Street. Running North on Augusta St runners will turn left to rejoin River Street.. Follow River Street before turning right onto W. McBee. The course will pass the TD Bank Building (on the right) as it runs through downtown on E. McBee before joining E. Washington and then entering Cleveland Park. Runners will use the popular Swamp Rabbit Trail, crossing Reedy River on the new Cancer Survivors Bridge. Runners will then enter Falls Park on the Reedy and climb the hill on Furman College Way next to the Governor's School. A right turn onto University Street leads the runners to S. Main Street for some welcomed downhill running before crossing the Reedy River again and finishing on the S. Main Street bridge. Post-race the runners will proceed to the TD Stage at the Peace Center next to the Reedy River for the post-race festival and presentations.
