The 42nd Anniversary "10K Finishers" medal Every registered runner who finishes the 10K event will receive a special 42ndst Anniversary "Finishers" medal. These medals will be distributed in the Finish Chute following completion of the 10K.
In 2017 we presented medals to our 10K finishers to commemorate the 40th Edition of Greenville's TD Bank Reedy River Run. That initial medal illustrated the GVL's iconic Liberty Bridge. Then last year, the medal illustrated the Falls between the Main Street bridge and the Liberty Bridge. For this year's event the medals highlight the Medusa Tree (aka the Roots Tree) in Falls Park just below the Governor's School (on the grounds of the former downtown campus of Furman University). Those tree roots are one of the most photographed sites in Greenville and are now part of our collection of 10K Finishers' medals.
